Our handy hints for fabulous flowers
- Start from the centre, and work outwards
- Use florist tape (you can find this at most craft shops), masking tape, sellotape or a pipe cleaner to bind flower parts very tightly to your stem
- Bind and pull the tape very firmly and press and mould to shape with your fingers as you go. Make sure the tape makes good contact with the stem
- Secure each petal very firmly before moving on to the next
- When cutting out petals or leaves make sure you leave a tapered length of at least 1.5cm at the bottom for attaching them to the stem
