Competition extended – you can now enter until 31 October.
A Plant in Time is a National Trust competition and exhibition that brings together creativity and a passion for plants, while helping nurture environmental awareness – and we want you to be a part of it. Why not make a fabulous paper flower and enter it into our online flower show - helping us celebrate the largest collection of plants in the world. You can also find out how climate change could signal the end of gardening as we know it and find out what you can do to stop it.
As temperatures continue to rise, science predicts that by 2080 climate conditions in the UK will be similar to those of Southern Europe. While this means more sun, it also means more rain and wind and will see the growing conditions in the UK changed forever. With A Plant in Time, we hope to show you what the gardens of the future may look like, and hope you will join us to prevent climate change before the idyllic "English Country Garden" is a thing of the past.
A Plant in Time is an exciting part of our Greener Gardens initiative partnered by Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks. By learning how to garden with green fingers, you can help save the planet and the pennies - can't say fairer than that.
